Bringing a unique perspective to his role as the Director of the Clinical Review and Safety Department, David Weiss has worked in nearly every stage of the clinical and preclinical research pipelines. After joining Baim in 2018, he led the reorganization and restructure of the Clinical Review and Safety Departments. The redeployment streamlined workflows and harmonized interdepartmental operations enabling the teams to be highly dynamic and collaborative. The team has continued to expand and David is constantly inspired by the group’s compassion, tenacity and patient-first approach. The team works by building partnerships and fostering collaboration with the goal of providing world class quality and compliance in clinical oversight and management.

Prior to Baim, David helped to oversee global operations for Sanofi’s Translational Models group across the US, France and Germany for Sanofi’s Translational Models platform. In this role, he collaborated and engaged closely with senior leadership and global business partners to drive project progression to completion.

With a degree in biology, he has worked in surgical and diagnostic development research positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and T2 Biosystems.
