Patricia Wedge, RN, BSN, CCRC joined the Baim Institute for Clinical Research in August of 2022. She is responsible for overseeing the project and site management, quality assurance and data management functions of the organization. She works with the teams to proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies and provides support and mentoring to the internal staff. Her role in monitoring trial execution, timelines and deliverables, compliance with regulatory requirements and quality of services provided is her primary focus. She is responsible for managing and maintaining client/sponsor relationships and well as building strategies for future opportunities.
Prior to Baim, Patty was the VP, Clinical Operations at Cardiovascular Clinical Science Foundation for 25 years where she was responsible for overseeing the management of full-service drug, device, biologic and diagnostic clinical trials. She also managed high profile Steering Committees, DSMBs and CECs. During her tenure, she was involved in more than 85 clinical trials enrolling more than 35,000 subjects. Patty has a nursing degree, started her career as a clinical research nurse coordinator at Tufts Medical Center and has been a practicing per diem clinician until June 2022.
